Congratulations to Genette Dagtoglou The Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) extends its warmest congratulations to Genette Dagtoglou, who has been honored with the BBC Radio Jersey "Make a Difference Award 2025." Genette, a former lawyer and lifelong humanitarian, has dedicated her life to serving communities across the world – from Somalia to Europe and beyond. Her tireless efforts in education, humanitarian support, and cross-cultural understanding have left a lasting impact on many lives. ASOJ President Mr. Dahir Abdulle Alasow, himself an investigative journalist and defender of independent press freedom, recognizes Genette not only as an outstanding humanitarian but also as an inspiration.
