Somalia: ASOJ deplores the death of Daljir reporter
MOGADISHU - Abdullah Omar Ghedi, Somali journalist who was working for Radio Daljir, a local FM station in Somalia's central Galkaayo town, has been stapped to death by unknown man last night.
The administration of Daljir in Puntland confirmed the death of their reporter to Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ).
Chairman of ASOJ Dahir Abdulle Alasow on Wednesday has condemned in strong terms those who were behind the killing of the inocent journalist describing them as merceless people who will be held accountable for crime against humanity.
ASOJ leader appealed to the Puntland authorities to arrest the culprits and bring them before justice.
Somalia is a hotbed for hunting down journalists and other human rights activities to silence the freedom of expression and democratic approach aimed to be practiced in the country.
