Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) on Sunday has strongly
condemned the corruption made by the so-called general secretary of NOSUJ Omar
Faruk Osman on the European visas intended for some of the Somali
journalists.
"It is unfortunately that Faruk received the visas from the Italian embassy in Nairobi on behalf of the journalists and then sold the visas in the markets," said Dahir Abdulle Alasow, the chairman of ASOJ.
Alasow pointed out that Faruk was responsible for the killings and harassments on the Somalia journalists particularly the murder of the Shabelle radio manager.Famous Somalia Journalist.because of Conflict Doha Media Money.
"What we know that Faruk pays a lot of money for the killings of the Somalia journalists to receive money from the donor countries," said Alasow.
Mr. Alasow said the media people in Somalia need urgent help. "The journalists need the world to bring Faruk on trial for his corruption," he added.
"We are telling the international community to stop giving the money used for the killings of the Somalia journalists and also we are asking for independent investigation on the murder of Mokhtar Mohamed Hirabe, late shabelle Radio director and the 12 visas taken by Faruk from the Italian embassy in Nairobi," he said.
