We Associated Somali Journalists , are very concerned about the verdict and the arrest of three Somaliland journalist who are belong to Hatuf Daily newspaper issued in Hargeisa.
ASOJ, sees the verdict as unlawful because the arrested journalists could not come up with legal defence as they do not get fair trial as reported by witnesses in the court during the sentence.

In the other terms most of the legal professionals do not see the court itself as legitimate, criticitizing it's legitimacy.

Here, we request from president Dahir Rayaleh , KINDLY RELEASE THE ARRESTED JOURNALISTS and return their personal freedom and to the government of Somaliland respect freedom of expression and protect Human rights principals in general.

Also we are concerned the arrest of Hassan Sadeh Dhaqane, a journalist who reports for HornAfrik Radio, arrested yesterday by the Transitional Federal Government, as he was reporting an event of a plane incident , a plane carrying Ugandan troops and  military equipment caught fire during landing at Mogadishu International Airport

The sudden release of this journalist by the TFG is requested by ASOJ and other media outlets in and outside of the country.
