Chairman of Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) Dahir Abdulle Alasow has Condemns the Bomb explosion kills owner of Horn Afrik Radio in Mogadishu and the killing of Mahad Ahmad Elme a journalist works for a local Radio of capital voice, a branch for Horn afric Radio station.

The chairman of the independent radio, Horn Afrik, in Mogadishu was killed after his vehicle hit a roadside bomb which was remotely detonated.

Some of Horn Afrik staff told ASOJ he was attending the procession of the funeral of Mahad Ahmed Elmi, another Horn Afrik administrator who was gunned down by unknown gunmen early Saturday morning.

Also among the casualties was Falastiin Ahmed Hagi who is a journalist woman who works for Horn Afric Radio and Sahal Abdulle a cameraman for the Reuters News Agency.

Mahad Ahmed Elmi was shot dead by two men armed with pistols.

He was the director of Capital Voice, Horn Afrik's second FM station.

Ali Imam Sharma'arke becomes the second Journalist with in hours today.

It is not yet known the reason behind their killing Sharamarke was a Somali-Canadian.

He was back in Mogadishu nearly 9 years ago and established the first free media house in the volatile city.

ASOJ Chairman said the Mogadishu's independent FM stations have been closed down to mourn for the deaths of two well-known journalists, Mahad Ahmed Elmi and the owner of Horn Afrik Radio, Ali Iman Sharmarke, who have been assassinated Saturday Asoj Chairman said also when we got the resources behind the assassination of two Somali journalists we will present this event to the international community The Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) in Somalia has expressed "outrage" at both killings, which they said were deliberate.

"The (ASOJ) is outraged by today's assassination of ...

Ali Iman Sharmarke after a vehicle he was riding in was blown up by a remote-controlled mine by unknown assailants," it said in a statement.

"The transitional government must take urgent steps to protect journalists and thoroughly investigate and punish these murders to prevent further killings,"

Asoj Chairman said.
